Gio received his B.A. in Psychological Sciences and B.A. in Criminology, Law and Society from the University of California, Irvine (UCI). At UCI, Gio worked with Dr. Elizabeth Cauffman examining how the justice system impacted young individuals. Gio will be joining the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at Louisiana State University under the mentorship of Dr. Amy Mikolajewski. He plans to study externalizing psychopathology (e.g., aggressive, antisocial, and disruptive behaviors) among youth. In particular, Gio is interested in exploring how psychosocial factors such as peer relationships influence the development and manifestation of these behaviors.
