Dr. Chad M. McPherson (he/him/his) is a trained sociologist. His areas of interest include institutions and organizations, group and organizational identities, higher education, culture and cognition, social psychology, mental health, and more broadly still, theory. His research explores how macro-cultural systems of beliefs and practices are influential—how they are experienced, understood, and used—at the micro-level of various professional realms. As a qualitative researcher, his work is primarily rooted in organizations and organizational sociology.
